Adobe Camp Amsterdam

Last week I had the pleasure of presenting at Adobe Camp Amsterdam. It was quite special for me for a number of reasons. First, my first presentation as a developer evangelist was in the Netherlands (June 2008). And I have good memories from that to this day :)

Second, all the events I’ve been to in the Netherlands are extremely well organized and the audience is great (knowledgeable and willing to interact with speakers).

And thirdly, the events organized by the local Adobe user group are just great. These guys know how to put together a great event. And of course this one was no exception. More than 200 people showed up for a whole afternoon and made us (the speakers) to feel fortunate for having such a great audience. Add to this the city, Amsterdam. Amsterdam is really something, and it doesn’t get better than this.

I was there together with my whole team (Kevin Hoyt, Terry Ryan, and Harish Sivaramakrishnan) and we presented seven sessions on HTML and web standards related topics (CSS Animations, The Future of Graphics on the Web, The Future of HTML5 Motion Design, Create Web Animations that Rock, Designing HTML for Devices, Adobe Shadow, PhoneGap and PhoneGap Build).

Bert Hagendoorn and the rest of the team did a great job and now you can see the recordings of these sessions here. There are also some pictures from the event.

The slides I used for this event are here and here.

PS. A big thank you from my heart to the Netherlands Adobe User Group, Christie, and Vincent for having us there.
